Allow your customers to view invoices and make payments online by clicking a link in their email. This gives your customers the most up-to-date information, including their account history with you. You can get paid faster by using Online Payments by our Online Payment Gateway partners, where your customers can pay you directly from the invoice using the Pay Now button!
The Customer Zone consists of the following sections:
The Invoices tab will display a list of all paid and unpaid invoices:
The Quotes tab will display a list of all quotes that have been either Accepted, Invoiced, or Declined. You also have the option to display all the expired quotes by clicking on the Show Expired button:
Credit Notes Tab
The Credit Notes tab will display a list of all credit notes that were processed:
The Payments tab will display a list of all payments that were processed:
The Statement tab will display a statement of what the customer owes:
My Details Tab
The My Details tab will display the customer details:
Processing invoices has never been this easy. When you process an invoice for a customer, the customer can view their invoice online through the customer zone and make a payment.
Select the Customers…Transactions…Customer Tax Invoices menu and click on the Add Tax Invoice button.
Process the tax invoice as you would normally do:
Once all the information is entered, ensure that the “Allow Online Payment” check box is checked. Click on the Email button to email the invoice to the customer.
The customer will receive the following email:
Click on the Email Report button to email the invoice to the customer.
The following email screen will display:
Click on the link in the email to view and pay the invoice in the Customer Zone:
In the Customer Zone, the customer can view all their invoices, credit notes, payments made, statements and their contact details.
Paying the invoice

The customer can now make a payment via the Customer Zone by clicking on the Pay Now button at the top of the invoice.
The following confirmation screen will be displayed:
If the customer is happy with the amount, they can click on the Pay Now button.
Credit Card payments are processed by our Online Payment Gateway partners. For your added security, you will be redirected to our Online Payment Gateway partners payment page to enter your credit card details and process your payment.
Press continue to be redirected to our Online Payment Gateway.
Once the payment went through, a receipt will automatically processed in Sage One and the invoice will be set to paid.
Sage One Accounting has created an online payment gateway portal for your customers and it makes it simpler and easier than to log into their bank to make payment.
To set up your online payments, select the Company Settings link at the top of the page.
Select the Company Details tab followed by the Online Payment Gateways section. The following screen will display:
Set up your Sage One Accounting account to accept credit cards so that your customers can pay you online. You will get paid faster and payments will be automatically reconciled next time you import your bank statement.
Select your Sage One Bank Account to where the payments must be reflected in. If you want email notifications to be sent, check the check box.
Click on the Save button to save your changes.
To set up the Customer Zone, you will need to activate the settings in the Company Settings.
Click on the Customer Settings link at the top of the page. Under the Company Details tab, select the Customer Zone section.
The following screen will display:
Check the “Enable your Sage One Customer Zone” check box. The following pop up message will display:
The following screen will be displayed once you have made your selection:
You have the following two options to choose from:
|Invoices Only||Your customers will be able to view their invoices online (you can also see if your customer has viewed their invoice). Your customers can print their invoices and pay you if you have enabled Online Payments.|
|Invoices and Account History||Your customers will be able to view their invoices online, print their invoices and pay you. Your customers will also be able to check their account history.|
Click on the Save button to save your settings.
You will have to set up your customers so that they would be able to view and make payments online.
To access this function, go to Customers…Lists…List of Customers and Edit a customer.
To allow the customer to view invoices online, check the “Allow this customer to view invoices online” check box.
Click on the save button to save the changes. Now, if you will process an invoice and email it to a customer, the customer will be able to make payment online and it will directly display in your receipts.
